Searching for Helmut Newton’s work has always kept me busy. I find his books in the craziest places, in the most random photo compilations from around the world. One of the most amazing books I found with his work is Sexy Ladies. I was immediately drawn to the book, without knowing its contents, by the scandalous Lucille Ball look-alike cover, and of course it’s creative title. I was surprised to find a collection of beautiful images, shot by 24 different photographers… Helmut Newton being one of them. His series is an amazing Parisian lady of the night, styled in equestrian accessories, probably YSL, lingerie, and a wedding dress. Then there are 23 additional photo series with various darkroom processes, film qualities and inspired styling. Once you open the pages, film nostalgia will rush over you…
